More about film, and less on Tv

These days I watch mainly what I HAVE to watch and don't really have time to choose my films. I wonder why Richard made us watch Thelma and Luise and The Shawshank Redemption for this Monday and we didn't even mention them? I thought the story of the second one was so strong, and Morgan Freeman definitely contributed with that voice over! I was totally engaged from the very beginning he started talking. It made me think a lot how a simple device such as the voice over can give a new sence of the film and attract more viewers. My American flatmate and her mom like the Shawshank Redemption mainly because of Morgan Freeman' play.
By the way, I had a real difficulty choosing my favourite film. Is it Moulin Rouge (because I've watched it about 100 times and eventually know the songs by heart), or The Lion King (my favourite animation)? What are the criteria for deciding on that?......... I would have the same problem with a favourite song. I always arrange them in genre, year and so on, just because they are too many! I have to think of a Bulgarian movie that Andy would enjoy watching. But since I haven't watched any for a very long time, I need to ask my grandma to recommend one :)

And now let's talk about TV! I watch Heroes every single Tuesday via ovguide.com, where everything is posted after the premiere on Monday in the U.S. So here is the right time to mention how disappointed I am with the writers! There used to be some kind of family values in the show, a strong relationship between the Petrelli brothers which is now a big joke! I am ok with the Heroes becoming Villains, but every conflict needs to be stretched and not solved 10 minutes after it's been presented.
